Job purpose:
This role is designed to determine overall vision of products and manage the entire implementation process by working closely with Business Owner, Scrum Master and other stakeholders to ensure value of business needs are delivered properly
Major accountabilities:
1.Strategy:
- Initiating product roadmap aligned with Digital Initiatives & Sunlife business strategy to support SLV business operations with customer-oriented service mindset.
- Collaborating with business owners to understand their needs to define product vision
2. Implementation:
- Accountable for the product backlogs including their features such as detail user stories, acceptance criteria, ….
- Communicating to the implementation teams to ensure they clearly understand product vision, specific product objective and detail product backlogs.
- Accountable for prioritization of the product backlogs
- Managing the implementation process of the product backlog including changing of requirements, design & development.
- Teamworking with Scrum master, Business owner and other stakeholders to monitor and evaluate product progress through each stage.
- Oversee or review test strategy against user stories to ensure products are delivered as expectation.
- Proactively anticipating and mitigating risks which might be occurred during the product implementation period.
- Periodically re-prioritizing product backlog based on business needs to make decision on release plan. Responsible for decision of pilot or go-live plan.
- Lead or involve change management team to promote the products.
3. Other Digital Initiatives tasks or projects as assigned.

Technical knowledge:
- Understanding insurance industry including operations & client service processes.
- Brings thorough knowledge of digital products applied for insurance industry to influence others.
- Experience in business process design of insurance operations.
- Strong business analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Scrum & Agile working methodology. Experience in working with Scrum team as a Product owner or a Scrum master.
- Working knowledge of digital product development process.

Education and experience
- University graduate or higher, with 4-7 years of experience.
- Experience in Product owner roles, Business system analysis, project management both waterfall and Agile methodology.
- Experience in life insurance industry
