We are looking for a great and proficient Golang Developer to join the Production Engineering team - an established front office team, which handles infrastructure for trading-related activities. The candidate is expected to have hands-on experience in Operations roles and robust software development skills. We are looking for someone who can address complex problems without creating avoidable future complications. This engineer should have a solid understanding of software architecture in general, and particularly the demands of infrastructure management tasks. They should be able to effectively communicate and accept feedback on their development decisions and recommendations. The candidate will focus to:
- Develop in-house operations tools
- Integrate with internal software, OSS, commercial tools, CI/CD pipelines and on-premises virtualization
- Operate the trading system and related software, as a backup and on rotation
- Communicate effectively during incident management
- Contribute with empathy to the team’s code quality through code reviews and direct feedback
Yêu Cầu Công Việc
- At least 4 years of experience in software development
- Understanding Linux platform components: file systems, processes, memory, networking, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to operate distributed applications on Linux/Unix platforms
- Proficiency with either Go, familiarity with Bash scripting
- Good understanding of SQL database operation and programming
- Experience with columnar engines like Vertica and messaging technologies like Kafka is a plus
- Mature, thoughtful, able to operate in a collaborative, team-oriented culture
- Motivated by the transformational effects of technology-at-scale
- Prior experience in the financial industry is not required, but is beneficial
