IT Network & Security Engineer

Job purpose: 

• Protects systems from cyber threats, including bugs, malware, and hacking attempts.
• Identify existing issues and build safeguards to avoid future threats.

• IT Team Leader

Job summary: 

• Design, set up, and configure local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other network segments 
• Maintain network security devices to protect against unauthorized access, breaches, and other security threats.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and take appropriate measures to safeguard the network
• Implement measures to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber attacks; Handle system-related threats. 
• Report to leadership whenever suspicious signs are detected.
• Update security patches related to network devices, software, servers, and users as required
• Develop and propose new technologies, policies, and processes to leaders to ensure information security for the entire system.
• Administer firewalls, routers, servers, virtual private networks (VPN), LAN, WAN, and other security tools.
• Manage and monitor system operations to ensure smooth functioning, detect, and resolve technical errors related to equipment, configuration, and implemented policies.
• Deploy training courses for colleagues and leaders on information security awareness, common forms of cyber attacks, and prevention strategies.
• Maintain network security devices to protect against unauthorized access, breaches, and other security threats.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and take appropriate measures to safeguard the network
• Actively research and propose system solutions.
