PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Today, we bring that innovative approach to our Component Solutions software. We work together with component manufacturers and other industry partners to solve problems, fostering a collaborative community with a belief that sharing information has wide-reaching benefits across the construction ecosystem. We leverage the wide range of Simpson Strong-Tie structural hardware, including connectors, fasteners, and truss connector plates, and our established training and support programs, to provide comprehensive and effective solutions for component manufacturers.
We has been a supplier of connectors for trusses and engineered-wood products for years. This experience has provided insights into the needs of the component manufacturer and has resulted in the development of innovative software that meets those needs.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

1. Technical Solution (70%)
- Design and develop applications and services with a small scrum team that focuses on next generation design and management tools for component manufacturers in the wood structure building ecosystem.
- Development is primarily in C# .NET for desktop and web applications
- Perform a technical analysis of requirements, technical solutions, and technical outputs of your team.
- Support Tech Lead to design technology architecture and execute solutions, and be a part of major contributor to the company's overall architectural direction.
- Provide the technological know-how that is needed to deliver the product.
- Research and PoC for new technologies or solving new problem statements.
2. Project execution (30%)
- Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospectives as part of the Agile Scrum software development lifecycle
- Document technical designs, processes, and create requirement analysis documents.
- In charge of the implementation of new technologies and providing recommendations and inform stakeholders about potential threats.
- Review code, standardization code, and business requirements for developer team.
- Identify the technical risk and planning mitigation actions with regard to the risk impact and other priorities.

If you can do everything listed above, you have gotten what it takes. Some of the following would be helpful too:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technology, information systems or software engineering course of study or relevant experience required.
- 6+ years relevant software development experience required.
- Good verbal and written communication in English is required.
- Proficiency in developing WPF applications using MVVM pattern.
- Preferred experience includes SQL Server, ASP.NET Core, Web API
- Ability to design and develop complex client server software.
- Accomplished in developing high quality, clean, testable code.
- Ability to diligently attend to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner.
- Willingness to learn and utilize new technologies.
- Communicate well, both verbally and in writing, creating accurate documentation, sharing information and ideas with others
- Ability to build and sustain cooperative working relationships.
- Pluses include any experience with:
- Agile development
- Git source control
- Azure development
- Building industry experience
