What will you do?
You will be part of the team building the web portal framework – which integrates with into the main business system – with members both in Sweden, United Kingdom, and Vietnam. Together you will work on architectural design, extend the functionality as well as building web applications using the resulting framework.
Initially, you will be assisting in designing API’s that the framework will use, this might be directly into the new Lumera Advanced Integration Application or through an API manager; in both cases the primary programming language is Java. The client applications are built in React using Redux and Micro frontends and the Front Ends are built using Angular. Knowledge and experience of these front ends is a bonus but certainly not a necessity.
The entire Lumera Core system is built using Java so you could end up in another team following a specific interest or business need over time and you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues based in Hanoi who are doing some of that work.
In this role you will:
- In collaboration with the team, design robust architectural solutions.
- Write well-designed, robust code.
- Take ownership – ownership of the parts of the system that you understand and build.
- Be honest. When you think your colleagues are wrong – let them know your opinion.
- Support what you build.

Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong at Java programming.
- Experience with Spring Boot, SQL and Git.
- Experience with API and system integration.
- Self-motivated individual who can plan his/her own work when needed.
- Passion for solutions and delivery.
- Great oral and written communication in English.
Good to have:
- Knowledge and experience of React/ Angular and Micro-frontends is a bonus.
- Experienced in architecture and system design is beneficial.
