We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Manager to lead our engineering team and drive technical initiatives that are critical to the growth and success of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, system design, and team leadership. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our current systems, implementing a new Order Management System (OMS), providing technical training to engineers, managing infrastructure costs, and spearheading the adoption of a new technical stack for our project.
Main responsibilities:
System Maintenance and Scaling
- Ensure the stability and functionality of the current system, supporting an expected volume of 500,000 orders per month.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
Design and Implement OMS
- Lead the design and implementation of a new Order Management System (OMS) capable of handling 2 million orders per month.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Technical Training and Skill Enhancement
- Conduct training sessions twice per month for the engineering team, focusing on enhancing their technical skills and knowledge.
- Develop and deliver lessons that enable the team to effectively adopt the new technical stack and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Infrastructure Cost Control
- Manage and monitor infrastructure costs within the company's budget, ensuring that they remain under 1% of revenue.
- Identify opportunities for optimizing resource utilization and cost-efficiency while maintaining high system performance.
Introduction of New Technical Stack
- Lead the adoption of a new technical stack for projects, utilizing Golang, AWS services, and microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement a solid foundation for the new system.
Hands-On Building and Architectural Leadership
- Actively participate in hands-on development, contributing to the creation of the technical architecture and foundational components for Gearment.
- Provide architectural guidance to the engineering team, ensuring that the system design aligns with best practices and project goals.
Yêu Cầu Công Việc
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- At least 4-6 years of experience in technical management and successful project delivery or leading a team of 10 engineers.
- Still spend 4-5 hours a day coding.
- Experienced in building large-scale systems.
- Strong proficiency in software development and architecture, with expertise in Golang, Rust, NodeJS. Experienced in database optimization and design.
- Capability to present and depict system designs and infrastructure in detail.
- Have a solid understanding of automation and deployment.
- Have a solid understanding of cloud platforms: AWS or GCP.
- Have experience with POD, E-commerce, or Warehousing/Fulfillment.
- API system design based on best practices and measurable performance.
- Frontend JS expert for editing canvas and rendering.
- Track record of designing and implementing scalable systems that can handle high transaction volumes. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of effectively leading and mentoring a team.
- Prior experience in conducting technical training sessions and upskilling engineering teams.
- Financial acumen to manage infrastructure costs and stay within budget constraints.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
