SMG Real Estate (a business unit of SMG Swiss Marketplace Group AG) is running the top 2 leading digital real estate classifieds platforms in Switzerland. The Platform Team at SMG Real Estate is responsible for SRE both as a discipline across Engineering and by owning the infrastructure on top of which our external facing products are built, in addition to, together with our Developer Experience team, provide and support the platform other engineering teams use to develop, deploy and operate their systems.

What you will do

In this job, you will...

• Design, implement and operate the AWS infrastructure on which our serverless ecosystem runs
• Evaluate and implement AWS infrastructure automation solutions
• Support the engineering teams with creating secure and reliable cloud applications
• Promote, mentor and facilitate best cloud practices within Engineering
• Challenge the status quo and continuously improve the production environment
• Review and improve the existing backup / disaster recovery processes

Planning and developing IT strategy:

• Determine IT vision and goals for the company

IT operations management:

• Monitor and manage the company's IT systems and networks
• Build and ensure network security and database security
• Handle system vulnerabilities, information leaks or attacks

Deploying and applying new technology:

MISSION

You will have the opportunity to focus on the aspects of the job that you enjoy the most. Specifically, you will:

• Installing and configuring computer hardware and software for corporate workstations (Windows and Mac)
• Maintain accurate records and inventory of hardware assets
• Perform troubleshooting on computers and network using different diagnostic techniques 
• Work with HR to onboard and offboard employees including such tasks as: account creation, suspension, changes to security or department structure
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
