ABOUT THE JOB

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, review, implement, and manage Java applications and services for the production and pre-release environments; 
• Design, develop, review, implement, and manage continuous integration, build management and deployment scripts, systems, and any code as required; 
• Participate in Agile software development, prototyping, and code review with international development teams to build scalable microservices-based products and APIs using Java technologies on AWS Cloud architecture; 
• Fully understand the requirements of the customer or business and utilize this knowledge to develop applications that are consistent with this; 
• Work with delivery teams to achieve success through development using CI/CD and DevOps practices, processes, and tooling;
• Provide robust coding practices, solid unit/component test coverage, and debugging code.

Working closely with the Managing Director and Senior Systems Architect, you will be responsible for various projects implementing our Prophit Systems Supply Chain Management tools into our client's supply chain operations. Naturally, this will first include becoming deeply comfortable and confident with our software tools and service delivery methodology. We are looking for an experienced DataOps Engineer to join our team.

The DataOps Engineer is responsible for day-to-day technical development and delivery of data pipelines into StorAI data. You will ensure delivery of solutions based on the backbone of good architecture, best data engineering practises around operational efficiencies, security, reliability, performance and cost optimisation.

To be successful in this role, you have to be an experienced DataOps Engineer with demonstrated knowledge and experience within data delivery, ETL/ELT, data management, solution design and delivery. Critical to success will be strong communication skills, analytical mindset, excellent documentation skills and have demonstrable experience in working with a variety of business stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop ETL/ELT solutions using Azure Bob Storage, Data Factory), Spark, and Python to load data across multiple sources into Azure Snowflake.
• Design, implement and maintain a robust, efficient and compliant data pipeline architecture.
• Create and maintain documentation on data pipelines
• Support various components of the data pipelines, including ingestion, validation, cleansing and curation.
