Backend Senior at GEEK Up is a role where you will work on specific projects critical to our customer needs and be empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate, including but not limited: colaborate with team to design efficient backend system, implement functionalities and optimize product’s performance.

SCOPE OF WORK 

• Participate in, or lead system design with peers to decide technology stacks. 
• Design, develop backend logic and implement APIs. 
• Write unit tests, integration tests and perform code review to ensure the quality and reliability of the backend codebase. 
• Deploy, optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability and security.

Responsible for the development of embedded control software for automotive electronics

Development of peripherals such as GPIO, Watch Dog, PWM, and ADC, and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART

Based on Vector AUTOSAR SIP and DaVinci configuration tool, develop underlying software modules: RTE interface configuration, COM module, DCM & DEM configuration and development, NvM network management,
I/O driver development & I/O hardware abstraction layer development, complex driver development , MCAL configuration, low-level software integration

CAN/LIN bus development, Ethernet communication bus development

UDS diagnostic development, network management

Communicate closely with Vector technical support

Responsible for writing development documents of related products, drawing software flow charts, and software interface documents, etc.

• Perform analysis on software application functionality 
• The leader would be responsible for training school administrators and teachers on how to manage and support the application (training could be on-site as dictated by the client). 
• Technical Support: Support agents would manage technical support issues either via phone or ticketing for our Vietnam schools. They would log the tickets and track service levels upon completion. Report would be made available to client (if needed) 
• Create the learning environment – this consists of copying a site from an established template, customizing it based on the client needs, obtaining a spreadsheet of users to upload into the system, creating teacher accounts and setting up their classroom environment, setting up reporting and establishing a technical support process. 
• Project Management – the leader would need to create some type of project management structure to control the implementation schedule. 
• Maintain the internal knowledge base.

As a software engineer, you will work with highly skilled and experienced engineers who have their work measured against the highest standards. In your daily work, you will: 

• Turn designs and product specifications into functional, and scalable backend components including, but not limited to micro-services, DB, and integration between systems. 
• Communicate with the Product Owner, BA, UI/UX Designer, front-end developers, and other backend developers to clarify requirements and propose solutions. 
• Develops high-quality code that follows industry standard best practices regarding accessibility, performance, and code standard. 
• Building reusable code for future use. 
• Assist in the integration testing, system testing, user acceptance testing and implementation. 
• Work closely with the team leader and project manager to ensure your projects are on track. Carry out the day-to-day tasks such as stand-up calls, meetings, deployments and relevant essential activities.
• Work with technical leads to research and stay on top of new technologies and development best practices. Accurate estimation and delivery of deadlines.

• Work with teammates and directly with Korea BE team to clarify requirements, estimate and plan for projects (With interpreter) 
• The Base is already ready in Korea side 
• Review, analyze, and modify existing proprietary applications to correct errors, improve performance and add new features 
• Develop and amend code as documented in the design; ensure it meets the specification, follows standards, is performant and is maintainable
• Manage personal time to meet established deadlines 
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Report to IT Manager and take responsibility on:

• Participate in the project of developing and upgrading modules (modules) on Odoo Framework platform. (Tham gia vào dự án phát triển, nâng cấp phân hệ (module) trên nền tảng Odoo Framework.)

• Develop future cloud-based ERP services and scaling system to serve tens of thousands of users. (Phát triển các dịch vụ ERP dựa trên đám mây trong tương lai và hệ thống mở rộng quy mô để phục vụ hàng chục nghìn người dùng)
• Understand the requirements provided by the business analysis department. (Thấu hiểu các yêu cầu do bộ phận phân tích kinh doanh cung cấp)
• Report progress and work plans to the IT director, team leader. (Báo cáo tiến độ và kế hoạch công việc cho giám đốc IT, trưởng nhóm lập trình)
• Other activities according to job requirements and assigned by superiors. (Các hoạt động khác theo yêu cầu công việc và sự phân công của cấp trên)

JOB SUMMARY:

The position will join the development of the newest Android based mobile computers (MCs) - Industrial Android smartphone like device - designed by Datalogic for the Enterprise world. 

The position will have chance to learn, gain knowledge and work mainly in Android framework (AOSP), Android BSP, Linux Kernel, Linux bootloader, Linux Device Driver programming fields.

The position shall operate in a distributed team work environment to deliver new products together with technology partners, such as SOC (System-On-Chip) vendors and ODMs (Original Design Manufacturing), and with colleagues from other teams inside Datalogic.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops bootloaders, kernel drivers and the integration of the company specific application level components in the Android platform.
• Develops firmware for MCUs (Microcontroller Unit).
• Applies the security fixes and addresses troubleshooting to pass the Android Google certification tests.
• Reviews test results and root cause analysis. Resolves highly complex technical issues.
• Understands SOC documentations, schematics and hardware component datasheets to better tune the Android platform level software.
• Understands Android platform architecture internals and Android compatibility requirements.
• Responsible for at least one subsystem in the Android platform, e.g. Camera, Wi-Fi….
• Innovates by developing new features and new products exploiting the selected SOC platforms.
• Writes technical documentation.
• Runs competitive benchmarking and intellectual property analysis to help to surpass the competition.
• Develops positive relationships with technology partners and with colleagues.

• Be responsible for software quality assurance and testing in all testing environments as well as the Production environment
• Analyze business requirements and actively involved in discussion with other teams to ensure proper understanding of business requirements as well as accurate test-cases write-up
• Design test cases and analyze which test cases can do automation testing, develop and execute automation script to cover test cases
• Review manual test cases and provide feedback on suitability for automation to the project team
• Write issues/bug report on each case with detailed information
• Ensure that the given test cases are executed efficiently, accurately and completed in a timely manner
• Update test execution status and investigate problems in software as a result of testing
• Highlight critical issue(s) early to team leaders and managers
• Maintain automation scripts when applying changes on the system
• Support manual testing if the team leader/manager requires
• Work closely with various teams to ensure timely delivery for both testing and requirement analysis
