General Summary
LizAI is seeking a talented individual who is passionate about building the next generation of AI in Healthcare. You will work with many cross-functional teams and be responsible for, but not limited to, designing, building, and maintaining the highly scalable platform. You are expected to display a high level of determination to complete work in a resourceful and proactive manner.
Key Responsibilities
- As a software engineer, you will work on multiple projects critical to LizAI's needs, with our fast-paced business growing and evolving. Our engineers need to be versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new problems across the full-stack as we continue pushing technology forward.
- You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
- Design, code, and test new features, making marked contributions to the application and process, emphasizing performant, decoupled, testable, and maintainable code.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Lead and mentor new hires or junior engineers
- Report the data to the team.
- Comply with the data storage policies of LizAI.
- Possible international business travels.

Preferred qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of design patterns, microservices architecture, OOP, and functional programming, asynchronous and event-driven development.
- Strong experience developing RESTful APIs or Graph APIs with Node.js/Express, GraphQL, etc.
- Experience developing on top of large data sets and complex data structures.
- Experience leveraging AWS.
- Prior experience working in the healthcare industry is an added advantage.
- Exceptional problem-solving and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work with diverse, global teams in many locations and time zones.
- Demonstrate excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting timelines and adapting to changing priorities
- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3 years of backend (Node.js) and/or full-stack experience building highly scalable and distributed systems.
- Experience in at least one non-JS programming language (.NET or Java).
- Solid experience developing with JavaScript (or TypeScript or any other flavor of the language) on the back end.
- Solid experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle and being exposed to Scrum projects.
- Solid understanding and extensive experience with version control tools like Git.
- Good command of English communication.

Compensation includes monthly (base) salary, year-end bonus (13th month-salary and more), and performance-based bonuses.
Monthly (base) salary is negotiable and up to $2,000.

Your compensation and promotion will be reviewed and adjusted at any time as you grow and develop within the role.
