The Application Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for enterprise applications. This role involves troubleshooting application issues, performing software installations and updates, ensuring the smooth operation of applications, and managing application delivery and packaging, potentially using Citrix or other delivery systems. The position requires collaboration with various global departments to address application-related issues and improve user experience.Your role & responsibilities
Provide technical support for enterprise applications, including troubleshooting and resolving application issues.
Monitor application performance and address any issues to minimize disruptions to users.
Perform software installations, updates, and maintenance to ensure applications are up-to-date and functioning properly.
Manage the delivery and packaging of applications using Citrix or other deployment tools.
Optimize application delivery processes to enhance efficiency and user experience.
Collaborate with various departments to address application-related issues and improve user experience.
Document and implement application processes, development, and testing.
Provide training to end users on application usage and best practices.
Monitor application performance and ensure key performance alerts and monitoring metrics are captured.
Assist with the development and implementation of new application solutions as required.
Additional Responsibilities:
Inform Leadership of recurring Incidents.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
Your skills & qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
2+ years’ experience with:
Experience in application support, installation, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Citrix or other application delivery systems.
Experience with software updates, application packaging, and managing deployments.
Experience with virtualization technologies (such as VMWare) is an advantage
1+ years - Intune and Azure (EntraID) experience
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows and/or Linux), MS Active Directory, and basic networking fundamentals.
Able to use Microsoft Office Applications at a high level.
ITIL4 Foundation Certification desired.
Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
Exceptional organisational skills and time management skills.
Written and verbal communication skills in English.

Must be self-motivated, team oriented and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidate should possess strong organisational skills, be detail oriented, and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to problem solve.
Strong sense of urgency and strong commitment to quality customer service is required.
Ability to analyse and interpret data (metrics) to improve the delivery and support of services to our customers.
Well-honed analytical skills and logical thinking required for solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of variables in complex situations.
Solid technical acumen and a fundamental grasp of IT principles are essential for effectively navigating and resolving complex technical challenges.
