We are searching for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and ensure the highest quality of our products. In this role, you will use your expertise to design, develop, and execute exploratory and automated tests that validate the functionality and performance of our software. You will be responsible for identifying defects and issues, debugging them, and defining corrective actions to maintain and improve product quality.
As the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to review system requirements and ensure they are clear, testable, and meet our quality standards. You will also be responsible for continuously monitoring all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions and issues before they impact end-users. You will play an essential role in the product development process by conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs while being cost-effective.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience in developing and executing test plans, using automated testing tools, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. You should also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot software issues.

Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

- Or on-site in Tokyo, Japan
Contract and Salary Expectation
- $1800 ~ $2500 USD
- 3 months probationary period
- Performance review every 6 months

Requirements
- Proven work experience in software development
- Proven work experience as a Senior Quality Assurance engineer
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Great attention to detail
- Organizational skills
Nice to have
- Familiarity with SQL and programming
- Can communicate in Japanese with our internal team
- Experience testing SaaS products and services
- Familiarity with AWS services
