Coin98 Labs is looking for a Cocos Game Developer who can become a member in our newly formed team. We are making hyper-casual and casual games, with integration of web3 technologies. As the Cocos Game Developer, you will help research, set up the foundation and develop our native games. You will contribute to the R&D processes of the team, from concepts to final product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing game products, utilize Cocos Creator & Unity game engines.
• Collaborating with designers and artists on design and delivery of elements in-game.
• Translating design ideas into functional game code.
• Producing prototypes of gameplay ideas and features.
• Animating characters and objects.
• Troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
• Providing code documentation and other inputs to technical documents.

Our technical stack 

We use Next.js for the front end. On the backend, we are on the move of incorporating GraphQL and Prisma to enable Next.js even further. A big part of the backend is written in Golang and Java at the moment. 

The application is split into multiple microservices, deploy onto a Docker Swarm infrastructure and we are using MongoDB. 

We plan to move our Database toward PostgreSQL with Prisma to speed up development even further, as such, you'll see a lot of moving pieces, but, that's gonna be a chance to learn and grow as an engineer.

• Be the coach, the mentor to improve team member's confidence (Junior level), product knowledge, and communication skills.

As a key member of the Software Engineering team, you will be involved in the delivery of projects for both internal and external projects – from initial concept design, advising leading global automotive manufacturers on all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, right through to design for testing and manufacture on internal projects.
