As a Staff Engineer at Ascenda, you will:
 

• Build and architect resilient and performant workflows/actions that require orchestration with multiple services in a distributed multi-tenant architecture.
• Design, build and operate external/public facing APIs at scale, dealing with intricate elements such as versioning, backward compatibility, performance tuning, observability, batch actions, and more.
• Act as a custodian of software and code quality in your team, setting high quality standards and taking part in code-review and architecture review sessions.
• Lead the charge in resolving day to day issues by critically analyzing situations, evaluating alternative solutions, and steering the team towards simplistic, effective solutions.
• Play a key role in resolving and mitigating production incident, working closely with the team and other stakeholders to improve operational processes, monitoring and tooling, as well as put in improvements to prevent incidents from re-occurring.
• Liase cross-functionally with teams that are integrated with your team's services, ensuring that both your own team and other team's needs are met. 

Ultimately, as a Staff Engineer on the Rewards SaaS Core Platform team and in Ascenda's engineering organisation, you are responsible for providing technical leadership and mentorship to your fellow team members, as well as make strategic decisions to evolve system architecture to meet future needs, both within your own team and in the context of the larger engineering organisation. Together with other Staff Engineers in the company, you will be a key part of our staff engineering organization, driving technical excellence across the company. 

At Aperia, we rely on a dynamic team of Quality Assurance engineers. We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on experienced Manager to lead our QA team (mostly Automation) in our outsourcing product company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the QA team, provide leading and managing automation testing for Aperia’s products, ensuring that we meet our clients' expectations and deliver high-quality software output. The ideal candidate has a strong background in team leadership, performance management, and QA automation excellence. 

Core Responsibilities 

• Spend 50% efforts for managing QA automation team and conduct the rest 50% time for working on test strategies, test plans & test execution of Aperia products.
• Track and monitor fixes and problems reported.
• Create automation scripts and optimization of those scripts.
• Develop automation test scripts, test conditions, performance, user acceptance, security, penetration testing.
• Documents test use scenarios and processes
• Train team on documentation of processes and scenarios
• Responsible for final test product deliverables
• Recommend new tools, techniques, methodologies needed to enhance productivity and quality.
• Evaluate, select, and formulate the best usage of test automation tools and future alignment for different products and applications.
• Support regression testing based on technical analysis, complexity, and reusability.

Functional Responsibilities  

• Respond appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures.
• Working with an Agile SDLC using Scrum, TDD/BDD, Git, Jira, etc.
• Work with the scrum team for resolution of technical issues of the product as needed.
